September 22, 2017 /

South Kern Sol, Staff

Public health officials, community leaders, faith leaders, and residents are teaming up on Tuesday, September 26 to educate decision makers and the community about the human and economic impacts of a potential Medi-Cal expansion repeal. Health care experts will speak about how a repeal will endanger health facilities across the county.

In Kern County, more than 95,000 residents would lose health care coverage, people would lose their jobs- about 4,000 jobs in health care and other industries would be lost, and nearly $305 million would be eliminated from Kern’s economy.
