The city of Arvin invites the community to partake in a tree planting event.

Participants can plant trees in the community and take a tree home.

Those hosting the event are looking for more volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Carlos Bello at 664-5079 or Mellizza Iger at treeinfo@urbanforest.org.

The event kicks off at noon Sunday at Di Giorgio County Park in Arvin.
