South Kern Sol, in partnership with Bakersfield College, hosted a concert Thursday, featuring East LA Band Las Cafeteras and local band Velorio.

The event focused on uplifting immigrant youth voices and empowered community members to use their voices to tackle social justice issues in their communities.

During the event, immigrant youth advocates spoke about local issues impacting Kern’s undocumented communities and offered solutions.

Community members gathered at the outdoor theater at Bakersfield College to listen to the message and live music and to dance all night.
