Kern High School District to offer free meals to students this summer

The Kern High School District is providing free meals to students this summer.

The district is launching its 2019 Seamless Summer Breakfast and Lunch Program in an effort to keep children healthy throughout the summer months.

The free meals are for KHSD students and community children 18
years and younger, according to a news release.

The meals will be provided at the following sites: Arvin, Bakersfield, East Bakersfield, Foothill, Golden Valley, Highland, Independence, Kern Valley, Mira Monte, North, Ridgeview, Shafter, South and West High Schools.

The program begins June 3 and runs through July 12.
