Registration now open for Kern County Teacher Recruitment Fair

Registration is open for the 20th Annual Kern County Teacher Recruitment Fair.

Sponsored by the Kern County Superintendent of Schools Office, the event is the county’s largest gathering of school district recruiters in one location.
Individuals who are fully credentialed, intern-eligible or holders of bachelor’s degrees or higher are invited to attend.

Districts are interested in meeting individuals who qualify for multiple subject, special education, speech pathologist, school nurse, school psychologist, single subject credentials and substitutes, according to a news release by KCSOS.

Districts are also looking for Career Technical Education teachers. Fields in need include: agriculture and natural resources; arts, media and entertainment; building and construction trades; business and finance; engineering and architecture; health science and medical technology; and manufacturing and product development.

The Recruitment Fair runs from 8 a.m. to noon on Feb. 22. at the Larry E. Reider Education Center, 2000 K St.

Those interested in attending can register at trf.kern.org, where individuals will be assigned a meeting time. Those who do not register should report to the even no earlier than 11 a.m. Admittance will be determined by occupancy at 11:30 a.m.

KCSOS encourages individuals to bring resumes and copies of credentials.
