Community Action Partnership of Kern announced Monday afternoon it will close its Head Start program at the end of the day on Tuesday, March 17.
The closure is a response to the spread of COVID-19 in the state of California.
“Providing for the safety and health of our young students is part of everyday life at CAPK Head Start,” said a press release.
CAPK said this decision will help minimize the risk presented to the children and their families by COVID-19. The Head Start closures will last through April 14.
