Health officials confirm 106 new COVID-19 cases in Kern

The Kern County Public Health Department has confirmed 106 new COVID-19 cases in Kern, bringing the total number of cases to 20,651.

Of the total number of cases, 5,752 people recovered.

According to the California Department of Public Health, 321 people in Kern are being hospitalized. Of this number, 260 are isolating in the hospital, according to Kern Public Health, and 72 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit, leaving 35 ICU beds available.

Health officials confirmed no new deaths. There have been 144 COVID-19 related deaths in Kern County.
