CAPK to hold financial health series

Chase Bank Community Manager, Shontay Smith-Sweeney, in partnership with CAPK, is providing a financial health classes beginning Wednesday.

For the residents of M Street Navigation Center, who have experienced homelessness, rebuilding personal economic skills is a crucial step in their path toward independence, CAPK said in a news release.

“Financial skills are important tools that allow each of us to adapt and thrive in today’s modern society,” CAPK said.

The financial health classes will be held at the M Street Navigation Center. The initiative provides tools and resources to help people manage their financial lives and get on the path to fiscal health and resilience.

The classes include a series of four, one-hour classes where residents will learn to save, budget and invest, and help set up for financial success.
