November 5, 2021 /

Kern County is holding another redistricting public hearing and is seeking community input as the County reviews updated map drafts.

Redrawing district lines to reflect Kern’s current population is vital to ensuring each district is representative of the constituents that live therein.

On Monday, November 8, 2021, a redistricting public hearing will be held before the Kern County Board of Supervisors.

Community members, stakeholders, and organizations are invited to attend.

“Kern County recognizes its obligation to residents and values accessibility to Kern’s community when it comes to this complex conversation,” the county said in a news release.

The public hearing will take place on Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. People can participate in-person before the Kern County Board of Supervisors at the Kern County Board Chambers, 1115 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, CA, 93301. Spanish translation will be available.
