Boys & Girls Club to host COVID-19 vaccination clinics for children this week

With COVID-19 vaccines now available for children five years old and up, the Boys & Girls Club of Kern County is working with collaborative healthcare partners to create accessible and family friendly Boys & Girls Club locations for youth vaccination clinics.

Beginning Monday, the Boys & Girls Club will be hosting a free COVID-19 vaccine clinic for children five years old and up in Bakersfield and Lamont.

The clinics are in collaboration with Bakersfield College’s Student Health and Wellness Center, the Kern County Public Health Department, and other community partners, according to a news release.

Clinics will take place at the Armstrong Youth Center, 801 Niles Street, Bakersfield, on Monday, Nov. 15, Wednesday, Nov. 17, and Thursday, Nov. 18 from 4:30-7:30 p.m.

The Lamont clinic will take place at the Lamont Club, 8301 Segrue Road, Lamont, on Tuesday, Nov. 16 from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
