CAPK and BHC partner to bring food distributions to farm worker communites

August 10, 2022 /

Building Healthy Communities Kern (BHC) and Community Action Partnership Kern (CAPK) have partnered together to bring food distributions to farmworker communities.

The first was held at Rexland Acres Park where they handed out boxes of fresh food to the families. The boxes included celery, cabbage, lettuces, melons, oranges, onions, and carrots.

The next one will be in Taft at 4 p.m at 7th Day Adventist Church on Friday..

These communities were picked because they have a lot of farm workers however you do not have to be a farm worker to receive food.

Building Healthy Communities encourages community members to share the distribution with any families that may be in need.
