Thanksgiving food distribution for families in Delano, Arvin, Lamont, Wasco, and McFarland

With partnership with CAPK food bank, Assemblymember Dr. Jasmeet Bains is to host a Thanksgiving food distribution even for 300 families in Delano, Arvin, Lamont, Wasco, and McFarland. 

Each family will receive a box containing all the essentials for a traditional Thanksgiving meal, including a turkey, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, and dessert.

When: Tuesday, November 26th, 2024, from 11 am-3 pm

Where: Vineland School District – 14713 Weedpatch Hwy. Bakersfield, Ca

“I am grateful to Chevron for their generous donation, which will help bring joy and nourishment to hundreds of families in our community this Thanksgiving,” said Assemblymember Bains in the press release. 

Families receiving these boxes were identified through their local school districts or family resource centers.

“We are thrilled to partner with Assemblymember Bains and Chevron to provide much-needed food assistance to families in the Delano, Arvin, Lamont, Wasco, and McFarland area,” said Savannah Oates, PR and Advocacy Manager at CAPK. “This Thanksgiving food distribution will help alleviate hunger and ensure that everyone has a warm and fulfilling meal.”
