Free child vaccinations available this January

January 2, 2025 /

Adventist Health is teaming up with First 5 Kern to provide free vaccinations and health services for children and families across Kern County throughout January, offering vital support to underserved communities.

Adventist Health’s Children’s Mobile Immunization Program will offer free vaccines to children under 18 at various locations. The program, sponsored by First 5 Kern, ensures that children under five receive vaccinations regardless of insurance status. Children aged six through 18 qualify for free vaccinations if they meet one of the following criteria:

  • Lack health insurance
  • Are enrolled in Medi-Cal
  • Are American Indian or Native Alaskan

Those enrolled in Medi-Cal must bring their Medi-Cal card to each visit, and all participants should bring their immunization cards. Additionally, free hemoglobin testing will be available for children, as well as for expecting and postpartum mothers, regardless of insurance.
