Kern County voters are beginning to receive their vote-by-mail ballots for the Nov. 4, 2025, special election, the Kern County Elections Division announced Monday.

Election officials said ballots will arrive over the next several days.

Each registered voter will also receive the county’s Voter Information Guide, which includes election details. The guide and a list of ballot drop boxes and polling locations are available at KernVote.com.

Completed vote-by-mail ballots can be returned in a signed envelope at any county drop box, polling place on Election Day, the Elections Division office, or by mail. To be counted, ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day and received by Nov. 12.

All official ballot drop boxes across Kern County are now open and will close at 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 4, 2025. Polling sites will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
