Kern Futures, an innovative scholarship program of Kern Community Foundation, supports high school seniors who are planning to attend a two- or four-year accredited college or university, with a special focus on strategic, need-based scholarships.
With one simple online application, students may be considered for dozens of scholarships, many of which have renewal opportunities. Kern Futures also stays connected with awardees, supporting their college retention and degree completion.
In 2017, Kern Community Foundation awarded more than 334 scholarships, totaling close to $620,000, to Kern County students, with almost one-third of the scholarships being awarded to high school seniors.
