Kern County’s Supervisor, David Couch, is hosting a Warm Clothing Drive throughout Kern County.
The Clothing Drive is encouarging residents to donate gently used or new warm clothing such as blankets, coats, sweaters, scarves, pants, and socks until the end of December. Residents can arrange the Drive to pick up their donations upon request.
The annual Warm Clothing Drive started by Supervisor Couch in 2018.
“In the past, we have been successful and have been able to distribute the collected items to many people in our district so we hope to be able to continue that,” said officials.
Donations can be dropped off at these locations:
Bakersfield drop off location: 1115 Truxtun Ave., Rm 504
Delano drop off location: 455 Lexington St.
Lamont drop off location: 10300 San Diego St.
McFarland drop off location: 100 2nd St.
Shafter drop off location: 329 Central Valley Hwy
All donations will go to families in the Fourth District who are in need of warm clothing.
