Bakersfield residents have an opportunity to learn crucial information about tenant rights and landlord relationships at an upcoming Eviction Prevention Program (EPP) workshop on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
Hosted by Greater Bakersfield Legal Assistance (GBLA), the event aims to educate renters on recognizing red flags before signing a lease, helping them avoid potential eviction risks.
The in-person workshop will take place at MLK Park, 1000 S Owens St, Bakersfield, CA 93307, with two language sessions available:
English presentation: 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Spanish presentation: 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
For those unable to attend in person, the workshop will also be streamed live on GBLA’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
With housing insecurity remaining a pressing issue in Kern County, this workshop provides an essential resource for tenants to protect themselves from unfair housing practices.
