BC to Hosts Open Forums for Presidential Finalists

Students, faculty, and community members are invited to open forums with the final three candidates for the Bakersfield College President position. The forums will take place on May 6 and May 7 in the Renegade Event Center. 

Dr. Stacy Pfluger’s open forum will be on May 6 at 10 a.m. According to the candidate’s bio on the BC website, she is the current Interim President and previously served as the Vice Chancellor of Educational Services at the Kern Community College District. 

The second forum will be for Dr. Daniel Lopez on May 7 at 9 a.m., and according to the candidate’s bio on BC’s website, he is currently the President of Harold Washington College, a community college in Chicago. 

Lastly, Dr. Phillip King’s forum will be on May 7 at 10 a.m., and he is currently the Executive Vice President and Provost at Milwaukee Area Technical College. 

Each forum will ask attendees to complete a feedback form, which will be submitted to Chancellor Steven Bloomberg.
