The Greater Bakersfield Legal Assistance will host a free Civil Rights and Immigrants Conference to address the current policies and issues immigrants in Kern County face.
The first panel of speakers will include various immigrant community members who will share stories of adversity, strength and success. They will speak about the importance of immigrants for the community.
Other panel speakers include law enforcement and other community members who plan to discuss the issues and challenges immigrants face, such as The California Values Act and public charge.
This conference is part of GBLA’s initiative to protect and promote the civil rights of immigrant and vulnerable populations in Kern County through legal aid and advocacy.
Seating is limited. To register, email Carmen Burgos at email@example.com or call 321-3980.
