Bakersfield College is showing “Adios Amor: The Search for Maria Moreno,” a documentary film of Maria Moreno’s struggle to organize California’s migrant farm workers while raising 12 children.
Presented by Project Conexiones, which provides aid to undocumented students at BC, the film, directed by Laurie Coyle, is showing at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28 in the Indoor Theater at Bakersfield College.
Following the screening, Coyle, BC English instructor Jessica Martinez and BC students affiliated with Project Conexiones will discuss the film and the importance of farm workers in America. They will also answer questions from the audience.
Those interested in attending the event must fill out the Adios Amor Event Registration Form. The registration deadline is Tuesday, March 26. The event is free and open to the public.
