Health officials confirm 114 new COVID-19 cases, 2 more deaths, 4 more hospitalizations

The Kern County Public Health Department announced Friday 114 new COVID-19 cases — one of the largest number of cases Kern has seen in one day.

Hospitalizations are also continuing to rise. As of Friday, there were 67 people being hospitalized, which is 10 more than the Friday before.

Health officials also announced two more COVID-19 related deaths. With these two deaths, Kern has had eight COVID-19 related deaths since last Friday when health officials announced Kern’s 45th COVID-19 death.

Of the 3,140 positive cases, 2,107 people have recovered.
