Health officials confirm 7 more COVID-19 deaths

The Kern County Public Health Department confirmed seven new COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 151 deaths in Kern.

Health officials also confirmed 577 new COVID-19 cases in Kern, bringing the total to 21,228. Of the total cases, 5,878 people have recovered.

As of Monday there were a total of 222 people who tested positive for COVID-19 in Kern being hospitalized, according to the California Department of Public health. This is about 100 less people being hospitalized than the day before.

Of those being hospitalized, 80 people were in the intensive care unit, leaving 43 ICU beds available as of Monday.
