The Kern County Public Health Department confirmed Tuesday 12 new COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 183.

Health officials also confirmed 555 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 24,995 cases in Kern. Of the total number of cases, 7,438 have recovered.

Kern Public Health says 250 patients are isolating in the hospital. Of the total number of people in the hospital, 71 people were in the Intensive Care Unit as of Monday, leaving 35 ICU beds available, according to the California Department of Public Health.
