Kern County Board of Supervisors to consider two final redistricting draft maps for adoption

The Kern County Board of Supervisors is nearing the end of the redistricting process, and will consider two final draft maps for adoption at a redistricting public hearing on Tuesday.

“Community members, stakeholders, and organizations are invited to provide input, as Kern County recognizes its obligation to residents and values accessibility to Kern’s community when it comes to this complex
conversation,” the County said in a news release.

The meeting will begin at 3:00 p.m. Those interested in participating can do so in-person at the Kern County Board Chambers, 1115 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, CA, 93301, or by watching on the County’s YouTube channel.

Another way to participate in the redistricting process is by submitting feedback via email at redistricting@kerncounty.com, leaving a voice comment at (661) 868-3139, or providing input through Kern
County’s Redistricting Feedback Form, which can be found on the County’s redistricting website at www.kerncounty.com/government/2021-redistricting-menu.
