On May 13, the City of Bakersfield will be hosting the Southeast Strong Fest for community members to learn about how City staff are working to transform the community.
The Southeast Strong Fest will be a day for fun and learning about Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) and projects that have been created. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park at 1000 S. Owens Street.
The TCC grant is an opportunity to bring transformative change to the historically disadvantaged community of Southeast Bakersfield and community engagement will play a critical role in order to see the projects to fruition.
Free food, music, games, bike repairs, and more will be available and City staff will be on-hand to talk to visitors about TCC and to receive feedback about what the public wants to see in their community.
