The Kern County Public Health Department confirmed Monday 94 new COVID-19 cases in Kern County, bringing the total number of cases to 28,234.

Of the total cases in Kern, 9,535 people have recovered.

Local health officials confirmed 235 people are isolating in the hospital. According to the California Department of Public Health, 53 people were in the intensive care unit, leaving ICU beds available.
