Health officials confirm 11 more COVID-19 deaths, 286 cases in Kern

The Kern County Public Health Department confirmed Tuesday 11 more COVID-19 deaths in Kern, bringing the total to 251.

Health officials also confirmed 286 more COVID-19 cases in Kern. Of the total 28,520 cases in Kern, more than 10,000 people have recovered.

As of Tuesday, local health officials said there are 221 people isolating in the hospital. The California Department of Public Health said Monday there were 56 people in Kern’s Intensive Care Unit, leaving 40 ICU beds available in Kern.
