Through the trials and tribulations of the winter sports season, McFarland Varsity Boys Basketball were able to truly represent their city at a high level.

In the middle of the high school varsity soccer game between Mira Monte High School and Porterville’s Granite Hills High School, the Granite Hills team decided to forfeit the game over Mira Monte’s transgender goalkeeper.
Local coach and McFarland High School alumna Alyssa Medina introduced her youth basketball program in 2015.
For the first time in history, McFarland High School will be hosting its homecoming game at Bakersfield College’s Memorial Stadium, against the Delano Tigers.
